Last weekend the Dutch national kitesurf championship were held. We were really unlucky with the wind this year, despite the three different dates the organisation had available the wind really let us down during the weekends. Last weekend was the last opportunity for the event, the wind was fully offshore and pretty light.
The first day nobody went out. The second day the wind looked more promising, the green flag went up! But the wind was still too light and gusty. The heat got cancelled. The wind didn't pick up so the competition got cancelled. So no new Dutch champion. Next week there is an other competition here in Holland called Man of the Dam. After standing on the beach for a entire event i'm really looking forward to Man of the Dam.
